Dimense develops, manufactures and sells structural health monitoring instruments and provides measurement services. Our application area includes large and continuously monitored structures, such as bridges, roofs, tunnels, dams and embankments.  The most important measured parameters are deflection, movement, elongation, stress, tilt and acceleration, but temperature and wind speed can also be monitored. Our products give cost-effective and high quality solutions for various measurement applications.

DIMENSE DMM – Deflection Multi Meter

Dimense DMM is a new-type multi meter for structural health monitoring which is developed especially for bridge applications. DMM sensor unit measures vertical deflection, tilt and acceleration and it also serves current or voltage inputs for three external sensors, such as strain gauge and displacement sensor. With the aid of a construction laser a network of DMM sensor units measure dynamic deflections and vibrations at many locations simultaneously.

Dimense DM - Deflection meter

Dimense DM measures vertical and horizontal deflections and movements which are typical for roof structures and embankments. The equipment suits specially for static monitoring of snow loads as well as for measuring critical structural deflections and movements due fatigue, for example. By pre-setting critical values e.g. for vertical displacemet, Dimense DM allows alarm signal to be sent in similar manner as in the case of fire alarm system. Wireless and maintenance free DM sensor network allows cost-effective measurements even at hundreds of locations.

Dimense - Service

Dimense Oy provides measurement service for structural health monitoring applications. Our customers are Finnish Road Administration, communes, and VR-Track to whom we serve bridge, embankment, and roof measurements.  One example of the measurement service is the Olhava bridge measurement on June 2011.
